10 Feet in front of the UCLA cheerleaders

I wish they all could be California girls. There are cheerleaders, and there are. . . anyway, it's a very much a good-to-be-alive-and-sitting-right-here-right-now moment.

X... I really had them heading back to CVG at least 3x... Andrew Phillip Lavender was driving me crazy at the end of the game, what with waiting until he had no time to get up a decent shot, so he took bad ones. He did it three times as I recall, in the last few minutes of regulation. It happens all the time... guys wait too long to get the ball off... but we nit pick...

Xavier had one too many players for WVU. They could overcome 0 points in regulation from Raymond. They have enough other options, they can wait for him to get hot. Which he did. It did help that J. Alexander fouled out. Without the long arms of D. Brown entangling him, Alexander came up huge in the 2nd half... until he missed the FT...

1st glance at UCLA... big, aggressive, good defenders... my first house was smaller than Kevin Love..

and I can't wait to ask Sunderman how he's gonna say "Luc Richard Mbah a Moute''...

That sounds like a great night Doc.

I had a similar experience. I was sitting pretty much on the floor at Madison Square for a Big East marathon day. New cheergirls and dancers streaming in every 60 minutes.

Now that was some GREAT 3pt shooting when it matters.

Get your fun in, Doc. Reds season is almost here.

Great game for the X-men......good game to watch for the basketball fan....Lavender had me yelling at the TV set, "what the hell is he doing?" on those last second-run the clock down shots.

Doc....

The Xavier NCAA tournament experience this year shows you can have an excellent team with coaches who don't have drinking problems and players who don't have rap sheets.

You can win with players who go to school, attend class, become seniors and graduate with their class.

Doc, why don't you come right out and say it? The Huggins crowd needs to hear it.

Let the screaming begin.

And, I suppose, you can have bloggers who feel morally superior...

Wow Doc...you've been borderline creepy during your stay in Arizona.

If that ain't the pot calling the kettle black!

Doc. You know it's sad because I like Sean Miller, and the way the kids play. But, its's hard to pull for a team championed by people such as the joker anon 1:59. I've described X fans before as smarmy and self serving. It takes a special kind of joker to go to a basketball game dressed in a Pope outfit like one guy I saw at the XU/UC game. Please get over yourselves (as if you have done anything other than sit and watch). Hate to break the news to anon, but X has had it's share of substance and other issues in the past, including DUIs (and coaches getting DUIs). Dedrick Finn. Remember him? What do you think his issue was? Whatever happened to Lloyd Price (how about an armed robbery conviction)? X just had a kid in court a year ago over an incident in a local bar. I could go on, but what's the point? X fans, show some class and act like you've been there before.

Wait a minute, Doc. Didn't you just stir the pot on Monday with your 'Huggins, Xavier and UC fans" post? What do you expect now that X is in the Elite 8? Anon 159 is correct in calling out all these 'die-hard' Huggins fans. The classy UC fans who back X don't deserve to hear anything; but those backing a guy who hasn't coached in this city for several years sure do. It sure is awful quiet out there now. What, cranky 'cause you have to stay out west?

Both programs have had problems >> UC's vs X's???
No contest, unless you've had 6+ Keystones. Next will be #6.

1:59,
Way to be proud of your team. I am too.
You lost me, though, when you used it as a weapon against others.
Humble in victory, gracious in defeat.

Anon 159...is certainly correct. The Huggins lovers will never go away much like the Pete Rose crowd.
The Huggs fans were pulling for WV last night...and you can bet, so was the "morally superior" Daugherty.
Am sure Daugherty is disappointed over what happened to "Huggs" team.
I have my degrees from U.C. but am quite happy to see Huggins gone. Will take a miracle for XU to beat UCLA but the XU players and their coach can be proud of what they have already accomplished. And the game has yet to be played...who knows.

When I read the first paragraph of your post, I thought for a minute that I made a mistake and logged into McAliser's blog.

You were ogling someone's daughter, possibly teenaged...

Ogling a UCLA cheerleader is a good thing. If you ain't "ogling" (like 99% of the guys attending), you ain't healthy.

Think they're just there to lead the cheers??

Can't we all just get along? Man, where is the sense of humor in this group? Chill out, have fun, and GO MUSKIES!

CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG????

Huggs great BB coach, Sean Miller a superb coach.

Muskies perhaps their best team ever - let's focus on the Xavier team and what's possible tonite - a Final 4.

Havn't been too many successful teams on the Cincy scene lately except for HS sports, UC football and Xavier BB.

I'm an X fan but it's time to bury the hatchet.

It's college BB not Good vs. Evil.

1058, you must be joking. First, I root for me. Whatever makes the best column is what I root for. Second, please pass along what you "know'' about my rooting preferences to Huggins, who counts me among 2 people in Cincinnati he believes have it in for him.

Xavier fans cannot act like they have been there before, because they haven't...

great season, nice run, still never been to a Final 4

at 12:00 PM Blogger Unknown said...

Nope, no Final 4 yet. But I'll take 2 trips to the Elite 8 over the last 5 years and a top 25 recruiting class over a program in the dump that hasn't even smelled the tourney in years.
