tales from Chadville
Chad Johnson and I were signing his book I Can't Be Stopped at Books and More in Beavercreek Tuesday when a kid walked up and said, "I have you and Carson on my fantasy team this week. You guys better do well.'' Chad pulled out his cell phone, punched the speed dial and said to the kid, "tell him yourself.'' The kid looked like he'd just seen an alien. Later,Chad dials up fellow author Terrell Owens and informs T.O. he's at his own book signing...
Last week's signing at Joseph-Beth in Norwood, Chad got on the mic and asked for someone to bring him a #1 meal from McDonald's. He autographed the bag. He also donated 2 tickets to the Bengals-Falcons game at PBS, so "2 more people can see how I'm gonna embarrass D'Angelo Hall.''
We sign on Main Street in Wilmington this Tuesday, 5-7 p.m.

thats beautiful. absolutely beautiful.
this is exactly why i love chad. the perfect blend of showiness and class. he'll draw attention to himself, but do it in a way where you can't help but love (and in some cases adamently respect) the guy.
please quit with the shameless self promotion. we get it - you love chad johnson. you have a book about chad johnson. chad johnson is god's gift to sports and humanity.
come on, p.d. you're above this.
Actually, those anecdotes were in the Dayton Daily News as well. And, the week before, on all 4 local network newscasts. So somebody other than me must have found them newsworthy and amusing. And believe me, if I wanted to drum up more pub for the book, I surely would pump it in a venue other than this one. But thanks for your concern. And if you read the book, you'd see I don't think he's as perfect as you think I do.
alright, that's fair. i hadn't heard those stories anywhere else but here.
still, i won't buy a book about chad johnson until i see a movie about boomer or munoz.
Hey, Rick. I posted anonymously b/c it's a lot quicker. But my name is Brad and I live in Hyde Park. Want my phone number, Rick?
And yes, Rick, it's P.D.'s blog....but I didn't know that meant you had to agree with everything he says and kiss up to him.
And looks like I wasn't the only one with that take on things, Rick. So, how can Paul trust you as you ask?
Regardless, I'm sorry, Rick. I'll make sure to read your blogging rules next time, so I can be on your turf of the most intelligent.
Paul loves Chad. Paul hates Dunn. Paul still hates Agassi. Paul does no wrong.
But it's his blog so he can write what he wants.
We're stuck with him with the Enquirer though!
Will Chad be at the signing in Wilmington tonight? Wasn't sure after the dings he took Sunday.
Keeping my fingers crossed...
No reason he won't be.
Wow, what a great turnout last night...I'm enjoying the book.
any chance you guys will be promoting the book around christmas? haha. i live on the west coast and won't be back in cincinnati till then.
i guess there are a lot of haters out there, but IMO chad johnson is great for the bengals: on the field, in the endzone, and off the field. i love it when i meet (or hear about) non-bengals fans that love chad johnson.
